Redwood Clinical Psychology

We are a Clinical Psychology practice offering clinical services, supervision and therapeutic groups. Our services are face-to-face in Sydney, Australia, and online via telehealth.

What we do

Redwood Clinical Psychology is a practice offering support to children, adolescents, and adults, including those in the perinatal period, parents, and families. Wherever possible we work from a non-pathologising perspective, and work holistically in understanding each individual and their broader context. Treatment is evidence-based and tailored to suit each individual and family and their unique circumstances. We prioritise creating a safe and welcoming environment during our sessions.

We have a particular interest in providing support for the following to children, adolescents and adults:
• Trauma and stressor-related disorders, including PTSD (Post-traumatic Stress Disorder) and early life, relational, or complex trauma
• Adjustment to life changes
• Anxiety, worries and stress
• Attachment and relationship challenges
• Depression and low mood
• Difficulties managing emotions
• Grief and loss
• Neurodiversity affirming and strengths-based support for neurodivergent individuals (including Autistic individuals, those with ADHD, and those with Intellectual Disabilities).

We are also particularly passionate about working with those in the perinatal period and with parents and caregivers of children and adolescents, including:
• Antenatal and perinatal mental health challenges, such as anxiety and depression
• Perinatal loss
• Birth trauma
• Parenting – including adjustment to parenting, parenting challenges, supporting the parent-child relationship, and exploring the impact of one’s own past on parenting.
• Child behavioural challenges
• Families who require support, are adjusting to changes, or would like to do things differently

Our approach

We utilise a number of evidence-based therapeutic approaches in the practice, including:
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
• Family Therapy
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
• Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
• Schema Therapy
• Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)
• Parent Management Training (PMT)
• We draw from attachment and family systems theories
